TTD Venkateshwara Temple in Hyderabad at Banjara Hills – Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to build a Venkateshwara Temple in Hyderabad at Banjara Hills (Road Number 12) where the TTD has 3.5 acre of land.
As per the TTD officials, the temple complex will be constructed at an estimated cost of 28 crore.
Probably for the first time, the TTD would also be constructing a Maha Ganapathi temple on the premises of the proposed temple complex. Though the TTD is maintaining some Vinayaka temples, it has not built any major temple for Lord Ganesha in the past. Lord Vinayaka temple on the ghat road near Alipiri was constructed a long time ago by some individuals and later developed over a period of time.
Of the `28 crore budget, the TTD would be spending `12 crore on the construction of Srivari temple; `4.7 crore for Vinayaka temple; and `9.2 crore for Potu, compound wall and quarters of priests and other employees. The complex will also house Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel branch office, which would be constructed at a cost of `2.2 crore.
“The remaining amount will be spent on making other required arrangements in the temple complex,” the board chairman said.
TTD officials said the architecture will have to be different for Lord Venkateswara and Lord Vinayaka temples.
Meanwhile, engineering officials said they would submit a plan of the temple to the TTD at the earliest. “We are already on the job of constructing temples at Kanyakumari, Kurukshetra and Delhi, and plans are ready for them,” they said.
The TTD also felt the need to have own office for SVBC as it paying rent for its office in Hyderabad.
