Telangana Jagruthi to organize Koti Batukammala Jatara in Andhra Pradesh

Telangana Jagruthi, a cultural organization based at Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh, will organize ‘Koti Batukammala Jatara’ in all villages, towns, and cities in Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh from September 27th to October 15 in 2010. For the celebrations of biggest cultural festival (Bathukamma) of the state, Telangana Jagruthi has decided to mobilize more than ten millions of women (‘Koti’ means crore in Telugu).

Koti Bathukammala Jathara will be organized in two phases – Sept. 27 to Oct. 6 and Oct. 7 to 15. During the first phase, Bathukamma celebrations will be organized in all educations institutions in the region. The actual Bathukamma starts on October 7th in villages. The closing ceremony of Koti Bathukamma Jathara will be spectacle during when (October 15th – Durga Ashtami) Bathukammas will be immersed (Bathukamma nimajjanam) in Tank Bund at Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad.

Telangana Jagruthi will also organize Bathukamma 2010 in United States of America (Austin, New Jersey, New York, Dallas, Washington DC, San Francisco, Chicago) Australia (Sydney and Melbourne), UK, United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Sharjah), Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, so on..
