Special train for Rafaleshwar Mela 2015 is announced by the Rajkot division of Western Railways between Wankaner and Morbi for three days from September 12 and September 13.
Rafaleshwar is very famous for its Mahadev Temple which was built in early 1930’s.
Rafaleshwar Mela is held during Shravan Amavasya. The fair is dedicated to Lord Mahadeva (Shiva).
The fair attracts visitors from across the region and is attended by thousands of people.
The Rajkot railways division will run a special demu train for two days – September 12 and 13 – between Wankaner and Morbi keeping in view the fair at Rafaleshwar.
The special demu train will depart from Wankaner at 2pm and reach Morbi on the same day at 2.50pm via Rafaleshwar.
Similarly, on return, the demu train will depart from Morbi at 3:10pm and reach Wankaner the same day at 4pm. The train will reach Rafaleshwar at 3.23pm. The train will halt at Dhuva, Makansar, Rafaleshwar and Nazarbaug in both directions.
The fair is held every year at Rafaleshwar where thousands of people come from nearby districts.
Besides the special demu train, one additional general coach will be attached for two days to the Okha-Ahmedabad-Okha fast passenger and the Okha-Mehsana-Okha trains on September 12 and 13.
