Sodari Tritiya is observed on the following day of Bhatru Dwitiya in Karthik Month. In 2024, Sodari Tritiya date is November 4. It falls on third day of bright half of Kartik Month (Shukla Paksha Tritiya in Kartik Month).
On Bhatru Dwitiya day, sisters offer meals with special recipes to brothers. It is believed on this day; Lord Yama visits his sister Yamuna and eats meals at her abode.
And in return brothers offer gold, clothes, and other material that are symbols of long-lasting Sindhur. Brother offers special gifts to his sister on Sodari Tritiya day.
