Sirimanu Uthsavam is the biggest regional festival celebrated at Vizianagaram Pydithalli Ammavaru temple in Coastal region of Andhra Pradesh. In 2018, Sirimanu Utsavam date is October 23. It is celebrated for more than 10 days.

It is celebrated on the first Tuesday after Vijaya Dasami festival. Devotees believe that Goddess Pydimamba appears in the dream of the temple’s priest and informs him about the place where the Utsavam is to be celebrated.

‘Sirimanu’ means a big tree which is cut according to the priest’s request to the owner of the tree. The tree which is cut will be erected as Sirimanu and worshipped during the utsavam. A grand procession of Sirimanu is carried through the streets of Vizianagarm town on the festival day. White elephant chariot, Anjali chariot, and Sirimanu Phaladhara are the important aspects of Sirimanu utsavam.
