Repakula Subbamma Thota Utsavam in Tirupati.. The “Repakula Subbamma Thota Utsavam” (Garden Festival) for the deities Sri Sita, Rama, and Lakshmana of the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati was celebrated with religious fervor on Saturday (4 April 2026).
The Festivities:
At 9:30 AM, the processional deities (Utsava Murthies) of Sri Sita Rama and Lakshmana were taken in a procession from the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple to the Repakula Subbamma Thota (RS Gardens) located on the Old Maternity Hospital Road. Between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM, rituals including Snapana Tirumanjanam (celestial bath), Asthanam, and Nivedana (offerings) were performed. Later in the evening, the return procession commenced at 5:00 PM, and the deities reached the temple by 7:00 PM.
History of the Festival:
Repakula Subbamma was an ardent devotee of Sri Kodandarama Swamy. Over a century ago, she served the Lord with great devotion. Starting from 1910, she personally funded the Kalpavriksha Vahana and Sarvabhupala Vahana services during the Lord’s annual Brahmotsavams. To ensure these services continued even after her lifetime, she donated a portion of her land to the Kodandarama Swamy Temple in 1933. The present-day SV Balamandiram and RS Gardens are located on this very land. In honor of her devotion and fulfilling her wish, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) conducts this garden festival every year.

ఘనంగా రేపాకుల సుబ్బమ్మ తోట ఉత్సవం
తిరుపతి శ్రీ కోదండరామాలయంలో కొలువైన శ్రీ సీతారాములు, లక్ష్మణస్వామి వారికి శనివారం రేపాకుల సుబ్బమ్మ తోట ఉత్సవం ఘనంగా జరిగింది.
ఉదయం 9.30 గంటలకు శ్రీ కోదండరామాలయం నుండి శ్రీ సీతారాముల సమేత లక్ష్మణస్వామివారి ఉత్సవమూర్తులను పాత ప్రసూతి ఆసుపత్రి రోడ్డులోని రేపాకుల సుబ్బమ్మ తోట(ఆర్ఎస్ గార్డెన్స్)కు ఊరేగింపుగా తీసుకొచ్చారు. ఉదయం 10 నుండి 11 గంటల వరకు స్నపన తిరుమంజనం, ఆస్థానం, నివేదన నిర్వహించారు.
సాయంత్రం 5 గంటలకు స్వామివారి ఊరేగింపుగా రాత్రి 7 గంటలకు శ్రీ కోదండరామాలయానికి చేరుకున్నారు.
శ్రీకోదండరామస్వామికి రేపాకుల సుబ్బమ్మ అపర భక్తురాలు. ఈమె వందేళ్ల క్రితం స్వామివారిని భక్తిశ్రద్ధలతో పూజించేవారు. 1910వ సంవత్సరం నుండి కోదండరాముని బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల్లో కల్పవృక్ష వాహనం, సర్వభూపాల వాహన సేవలను సొంత ఖర్చులతో నిర్వహించేవారు. తన తదనంతరం కూడా ఈ సేవలు కొనసాగాలనే తలంపుతో 1933వ సంవత్సరంలో కొంత స్థలాన్ని కోదండరామాలయానికి విరాళంగా అందించారు. ఈ భూమిలోనే ప్రస్తుతం ఎస్వీ బాలమందిరం, ఆర్ఎస్ గార్డెన్స్ ఉన్నాయి. కోదండరాముని భక్తురాలైన రేపాకుల సుబ్బమ్మ కోరిక మేరకు తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానం ప్రతి ఏటా ఈ ఉత్సవం నిర్వహిస్తోంది.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఆలయ డెప్యూటీ ఈవో శ్రీమతి నాగరత్న, టెంపుల్ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్లు శ్రీ సురేష్, ఇతర అధికారులు, విశేష సంఖ్యలో భక్తులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
