3 March 2025 is Putra Ganapathi Vratham (Shanta Chaturthi Vrata). It is an auspicious vrata to be observed by married couple for children.
Childless couple perform the vrata for children. The deity to worship on the day is as the name suggests, Putra Ganapati, Lord Ganapathi. It is also called as Vara Siddhi Vinayaka Vratam.
Rituals and Customs of Putra Ganapati Vrata
The devotees or the performers who observe the vrata, perform the Ganapati Puja with utmost devotion to be blessed with children by the God. Some enthusiasts observe fast on the day. Putra Ganapati Vrata should be done under the guidance of a well known priest or a pandit.

Perform simple Ganesh Puja by chanting few stotras of Lord Ganesha (mainly Ganesha Astottaram / Astottara Shatanamavali). Offer special recipes such as Modak / Undrallu / Payasam. Perform Ganesh Aarti after puja and chant Putra Prapthi Ashtakam.
