Onam Special Trains 2013 to Kollam, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kozhikkode are announced by Southern Railways. The special trains will run from September 11 to September 18.
Southern Railway will operate special trains from Nagercoil to Mangalore junction to clear the extra rush of passengers during Onam festival.
Train number 06304 Nagercoil – Mangalore Junction special will leave Nagercoil at 8.35pm on September 11 and 18 and arrive at Mangalore junction at 11.20 am the next day.
In the return direction, train numbers 06303 Mangalore junction – Nagercoil special will leave Mangalore junction at 2.40pm on September 12 and 19 and arrive at Nagercoil at 4.15am, the next day.
The composition of the trains will be one AC two-tier, three AC three-tier, eight sleeper class, four general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
The trains will stop at Eraniel, Kulitturai, Neyyatinkara, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur junction, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasargod.
Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on September 1, 2013.
