Maghi Purnima is an auspicious day to observe Punya Snan at Kumbh Mela. In 2019, Maghi Purnima Shahi Snan date is February 19.
For this year, it is even more auspicious as the mela is Maha Kumbha Mela which is being celebrated at Allahabad Prayaga Sangam. It comes once in a Pushkarams time (12 years).
Maghi Purnima is the final day of Maghi Snan, the ritual or ceremonial bath during Magha Maas, in North India. It also marks the end of Magh Month, an important month dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Surya Arghya, Surya Tharpana (Tharpan or Arghya rituals to Surya Bhagavan) is the main ritual of the day.
As per the estimations, nearly 1 crore (10 Million) devotees may observe Maghi Purnima at Kumbh Mela 2019.
