The Railways will run special trains for Magh Mela in January & February 2015 during auspicious Magh snan dates like Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, Basant Panchami, Maghi Purnima & Maha Shivaratri.
In view of the forthcoming Magh Mela, which is scheduled to start from January 14, North Central Railway has made arrangements for running special trains on important bathing days of Makar Sakranti (January 14), Mauni Amavasya (January 30), Basant Panchami (February 4), Maghi Poornima (February 14) and Mahashivratri (February 27). In addition to this, extra coaches will also be augmented in various trains to bring pilgrims to the holy city of Sangam.
Train number 01189/01190 Allahabad-Manikpur will run on January 14,15,16,29,30 and 31. In addition to this, this special train will also run on February 4,5,14 and 15. This train will be run utilizing the rake of partially cancelled 51189/51190 Itarsi-Allahabad passenger.
Special train 03345/03346 will run on January 14,15,16,29,30,31 and February 4,5,14 and 15 between Allahabad and Chunar. Train number 54103/54104 Allahabad-Chunar passenger has been extended upto Mughalsarai. This train will ply from Chunar end from 13 to 16 January and from January 29 to 31.
In addition to this, this train will also be plied on February 3,4,5, 13 and 14. Further, this train will ply from Mughalsarai end from January 14 to 17 and from January 30 to February 1. In addition this, this train will ply from Mughalsarai end on February 4, 5, 14 and 15.
Train number 2442/2241 will be plied between Allahabad and Mughalsarai in accordance with the demand of the passengers. This train will leave Allahabad at 11:00 am and halt at Naini, Meja Road, Manda Road, Vindhychal, Mirzapur, Chunar and finally terminate at Mughalsarai at 1:50 pm. During the return journey, the train will depart form Mughalsarai at 2:20 pm and after halting at the above stations will terminate at Allahabad at 6:00 pm.
Further, two general coaches will also be augmented in train number 14125/14126 Allahabad-Faizabad Saryu Express, 54109/54110 Mughalsarai-Faziabad passenger, 54101/54102 Allahabad-Unchahar Kanpur passenger, 51819/51820 Jhansi-Allahabad passenger, 51823/51824 Allahabad-Farukkhabad passenger, 51825/51826 Kanpur-Farukkhabad passenger and 54107/54108 Allahabad-Jaunpur passenger on important bathing days.
In addition to this, about two sleeper coaches will be augmented in train number 12403 Allahabad-Jaipur Express on important bathing days. Two general coaches will also be augmented in train number 14369/1437 Bareli-Singrauli Triveni Express. Two general coaches will also be augmented in train number 53345/53346 Chopan-Chunar-Allahabad passenger.
