Conversion of Hindus is taking place on a large scale. The Saints should not, therefore, confine themselves to their mutts. They should come out for the protection of Dharma in such difficult situation. ‘Dharmajagruti Sabhas should be held in every village for protection of Dharma. Hindus must unite for protection of Dharma and the devout. The above appeal was made by Jagatguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Siddheshwar Bharati of ‘Kortpallam Peeth. He was addressing the ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha held on 8th March. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organized this meeting which was attended by about 700 devout Hindus. The meeting was also addressed by Brahmarshi Pramod Chaitanya Swami from Vidya Bharati, Dr. Anandam Chidambar Shastri, the Editor of ‘Dharmajyoti periodical, Mrs. Vinuta Shetty of ‘Ranaragini and Mr. Chetan Janardan of HJS.
Dr. Chidambar Shastri said on the occasion that the churches in Europe and other countries were closing down due to absence of believers but missionaries are trying to propagate Christianity in Asia and India. The conversion of Hindus taking place through them has to be stopped and Hindus need to be re-converted.
