Depiction of Hindu Gods on costumes in Vizag’s Kingfisher Fashion Show lead to cancellation of the fashion show on February 3, 2013. The Visakha Kingfisher Fashion Show has been stopped with many organizations protesting against the attire of the participants which has portraits of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.
The show was cancelled following a complaint by Vishwa Hindu Prishad leaders who alleged that the dress of some of the participants carried the caricature of Hindu Gods. The police said that they have registered a case and action would be taken in due course of time.

It is unfortunate that the trend of depicting Hindu gods and goddess on costumes and insulting Hindu Dharma is still continuing even after protests of Hindu organizations.
