Lord Shiva is one among the Trimurtis, and is a great god who safeguards us in our every-day life. He is residing at Kailasa and showers his immense grace on to his devotees. His temples are situated all over the world.

The 63 Nayanmar saints praise the glory of Lord Shiva and reside in Kailasa and enjoying the eternal bliss. In order to be like them and to live in Kailasa, we have to do the most favourite things which he likes.

By offering Bilva leaves to Lord Shiva during the Shiva puja and by wearing the Holy Rudraksha in our body, and by applying the Vibhudi ( Sacred Ash ) in our body, we would get the grace of Lord Shiva, and after our death, we would attain a permanent place in Kailasa and can serve the Divine father and Divine mother with great pleasure.

1. BILVA LEAVES
Bilva leaf is considered more sacred and it is the Lord Shiva’s most favourite worshipful item. Even by offering one Bilva leaf, he would be pleased with our devotion and fulfills our wishes.
Lord Shiva can be worshipped with Golden Bilvas in order to get more benefits in our life.Worshiping Bel tree would give a great sense of satisfaction and we would get great physical and mental energy.

2.RUDRAKSHA
Rudraksha is a seed that is used by Shiva devotees. It is commonly worn for getting blessings from Lord Shiva and it would also give various health related benefits, such as giving strength to our bones and nerves, and would make us to become more active in our life. The seeds are made into Rudraksha Malas. They are considered equivalent to precious stones. We can recite the “OM NAMAH SHIVAYA MANTRA” and perform Shiva puja in the mornings and in the evenings.

3. VIBHUDI
Vibhudi is the sacred ash which is the favourite item of Lord Shiva. Shiva devotees used to apply it in their body in order to please Lord Shiva. It also protects us from various diseases and from our enemies. According to Shiva Purana, those who apply sacred ash in their body, are considered as the holiest persons in the earth, and would be considered as the great devotees of Lord Shiva. They would be blessed by the demigods in the heaven and would get all kinds of prosperity in this world.

Let us worship Lord Shiva and perform puja to him in this Shiva Ratri day (21.02.2020), and let us apply the sacred ash in our body, wear the holy rudraksha mala and offer Bilva leaves to him.
