Bagalamukhi
Goddess Bhagalamukhi, also spelt as Bagalamukhi Mata or Pitambara Devi, is one of the Dasamahavidya or Mahavidya Goddesses.
Bagalamukhi Jayanti or Bhagalamukhi Jayanthi is observed on Vaisakh Shukla Ashtami or the eighth day in bright half of Vaisakh month. In 2025, Bagalamukhi Jayanthi date is May 5.
Literally, Bagalamukhi means the Goddess whose face has the power of capturing the mind and thus controlling individuals.
Goddess Bagalamukhi Devi has golden complexion and the favorite colour of the Goddess is yellow. She sits on a swarna simhasanam (golden throne) and blesses her devotees with two arms (Dwi-bhuja). In some scriptures, she is described as Chatur-bhuja (four-handed). Bagalamukhi Sadhana makes devotees to control enemies and to hypnotize others with their power.
