5 March 2015 is Purnima (Falgun Purnima, Maasi Pournami, Holi Purnima, Hutashani Purnima, Dola Purnima Vrat).

This Purnima is also popular as Holi festival. Gaura Purnima (Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Jayanti) is also celebrated on this day. This Full Moon is the last Purnima in Sri Jaya Hindu Year (2014-2015).

Falgun Purnima begins at 8.57 PM on 4 March and ends at 11.35 PM on the March 5.

Falgun Purnima marks the end of Falgun month in North Indian Hindi calendar. It is the last day of Shukla Paksha in Falguna month as per Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, and Kannada calendars.

In 2015, it falls in Maasi Masam of Tamil calendar, Kumbha Masam of Malayalam calendar and Chaitra Month as per Bengali Panjika.

Falgun Purnima is also known as Lakshmi Jayanti in some places. Goddess Lakshmi and the Moon God are worshipped on this day. It is also known as Phagu Purnima in Nepal and Dol Purnima in Orissa.
