13 April 2014 is Panguni Uthiram festival in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the important Tamil festivals celebrated in Panguni Masam as per Tamil calendar. It falls on Uthiram nakshatra in Panguni Month. It falls in Chaitra Month as per all other lunar Hindu calendars.

The important event of Panguni Uthiram is the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi (Shiva Parvathi Kalyanam). Special pujas are observed in Murugan temples all around Tamil Nadu.

Ayyappa Jayanti is observed on Panguni Uthiram in Kerala.
