Shakambari Festival or Shakambari Utsavalu or Shakambari Mahotsavam is one of the major festivals in Bhadrakali temple, Hanamkonda, Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh. Shakambari Festival 2012 or Shakambari Navaratri 2012 begins on June 20 (first day of Ashada masam) and will end on July 3 with Ashada Pournami Sahasrakalasha Abhishekam. During the festival Goddess Bhadrakali is decorated as Shakambari Mata and worshipped. Each day the Goddess is decked in different form with variety of vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
Warangal Bahdrakali temple board has been celebrating annual Shakambari Festival since 50 years. Taking as an initiative from Hanamkonda Bhadrakali temple, Kanakadurga temple Vijayawada temple board also started celebrations of Shakambari festival.
