Pradosh July 2012 dates, Prodosha Vrat, Pradosham Pooja

Pradosh or Pradosh vrat is an auspicious Shiva Puja observed on every thirteenth day in both fortnights of a Hindu month. In July 2012, Pradosh vrat dates are – July 1, July 16 & July 30. The first Pradosha pooja in July 2012 is Bhanu Pradosh (1 July) as it falls on Sonday (Bhanuvar). 2nd Pradosh falls on 16 July (Som Pradosh – Monday- Somvar) & and the last one falls on 30 July (Som Pradosh – Monday).

Pradosh puja time for any pradosh vrat is 4.30 to 6’0 clock in the evening of Trayodasi tithi.

Bhanu Pradosh of 1 July 2012 falls in Shukla Paksha of Ashada month as per all chandramana or lunar calendars followed in North India, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.

Pradosh of 16 July 2012 falls in Krishna Paksha of Shravan month in North Indian Hindi calendars. It falls in Krishna Paksha of Ashada month as per Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, and Gujarati calendars.

Pradosh of 30 July 2012 falls in Shukla Paksha of Shravan Month in all lunar Hindu calendars..
