6 March 2023 is Masi Magam, Masi Makam, Masi Maham festival in Tamil Nadu. It is celebrated on Magam Naskhatram in Masi Masam (February – March).

Usually, Masi Magam falls on Pournami day in Masi month. It coincides with Magha Purnima as per other Hindu calendars in 2023. Masi Pournami is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Murugan (Subramanya Swamy), Lord Vishnu and Goddess Shakti.

Special pujas are offered in all temples of Tamil Nadu on Masi Magam festival. All the processional deities (Uthsava Vigrahams) of the temples are decked, taken in procession and offered celestial bathe at temple tanks.

Masi Masam falls in Magha Month as per Amavasyant and Purnimant Panchangams, Kumbha Masam in Malayalam calendar and Falgun Month in Bengali calendar.
