Shakambari Mata
Shakambari Utsavam, Shakambari festival, Ashada masa Utsavam, is a three-day puja dedicated to Goddess Shakambari Devi at Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada. In 2025, Shakambari Festival begins on July 9 and ends on July 11.
During the festival, Goddess Kanakadurga is adorned and worshipped as Shakambari Devi. More than 5 lakh devotees visit the temple during Ashada Utsavam days.
Goddess Kanakadurga is decorated with vegetables and fruits and offered special pujas. On 9 July 2025, Vigneshwara Puja, Akhanda Jyothi, Ankurarohana, and Vastu Homam are performed. During this three-day festival, Durga Malleshwara swamy temple will be opened at 4 am and closed at 10 pm after offering special pujas and rituals to Goddess Shakambari Devi.
