Yadagirigutta Brahmotsavam have begun on 20 February 2015 with Dhwajarohanam and Swasthivachanam. The Tholipoojas were performed to Pancharoopa Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy on Friday.
Vishwaksena Pooja was performed as per the Vaishnava Temples’ tradition. Shanti Poojas were observed to Vishwaksena as part of the beginning of Brahmotsavams. Jalapooja was performed under the presence of Agni deva.
Swasthivachanam was also performed for the universal peace and prosperity.
The eleven-day annual Brahmotsavam at the Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta commenced on a grand note as priests performed swasthi vachanam here on Friday. The kalyanam of the presiding deity will be performed on February 27, while on the preceding day edurukollu mahotsavam will be performed. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to attend the former.
The temple was colourfully decorated for the fete. Meanwhile, the RTC is operating special services to the hill shrine from various parts of the State. Police have stepped up the security in and around the shrine. The Brahmotsavam will conclude March 2.
Yadagirigutta Narasimha Swamy Temple is one of the famous temples in Telangana state. The government of Telangana state is very keen to develop Yadagirigutta temples in the lines of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams of Andhra Pradesh.
