Western Railway Special Trains for Navratri, Diwali 2011 between Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Bangalore

The Western Railways of Indian Railways has announced special trains for Navratri, Durga Puja & Diwali 2011 between Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Secunderabad & Bangalore from September 23 to November 15, 2011. A tri-weekly special train will run between Ahmebabad – Mumbai, a special weekly train will run between Porbander – Secunderabad, Ahmedabad – Patna and Ahmedabad – Yeshwantpura (Bangalore).

The tri-weekly Ahmedabad-Mumbai train will run for 40 trips during the puja festival days. It will leave Ahmedabad on Wednesday, Friday and Monday and on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from Mumbai. The train will leave Ahmedabad at 9.40 pm and Mumbai at 10.40 pm.

Similarly, Bandra-Hapa weekly special will leave from Hapa at 5 pm every Wednesday and reach Mumbai on Thursday. The train would leave Bandra at 12.10 am on Friday and reach Hapa the same day.

The railways has also announced special weekly trains for Porbander – Secundrabad, Ahmedabad – Patna and Ahmedabad – Yeshwantpura.

The Ahmedabad-Patna train will leave Ahmedabad on 11.25 pm on Wednesday and reach Patna on Friday. Similarly, it would make a return journey from Patna on 4.30 pm on Friday and reach Ahmedabad at 11.05 pm on Saturday.

The Ahmedabad-Yeshwantpura train will leave Ahmedabad at 7.30 pm on Saturday and reach Yeshwantpura on Monday. The train will leave Yeshwantpura on Monday and reach Ahmedabad on Tuesday. The train will halt at Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vasai Road, Bhivandi, Kalyan, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Gulbarga, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam, Adoni, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dhar-mavaram, Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, Hindupur and Yela-hanka stations.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Puja Festival Season, the following Special trains, passing through / terminating in South Central Railway system, will be run.

1) Train No. 09405 Ahmedabad-Yesvantpur weekly special train will depart Ahmedabad at 19.30 hrs o­n Saturdays i.e. o­n 24th September, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, October, 5th, 12thNovember 2011 and arrives Yesvantpur at 04.00 hrs o­n Mondays. In return direction, Train No. 09406 Yesvantpur-Ahmedabad weekly Special train will depart Yesvantpur at 05.50 hrs o­n Mondays ie., o­n 26th September 3rd, 10th, 17th , 24th, 31st October, 7th,14th November 2011 and arrive Ahmedabad at 15.10 hrs o­n Tuesdays. Enroute, these trains will stop at Geratpur, Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Kalyan, Pune, Daund, Sholapur, Gulbarga, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam, Adoni, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, Hindupur, and Yelahanka. These trains will have a total of 21 Coaches i.e. two AC III Tier, thirteen Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, two Second class luggage cum brake van coaches.

2) Train No. 09221 Porbandar-Secunderabad weekly special train will depart Porbandar at 23.50 hrs Mondays i.e. o­n 26thSeptember, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th , 31st , October, 7th, 14thNovember 2011and arrive Secunderabad at 10.30 hrs o­n Wednesdays. In return direction Train No. 09222 Secunderabad-Porbandar weekly special train will depart Secunderabad at 14.50 hrs o­n Wednesdays i.e. o­n 28th September, 5th,12th , 19th, 26th October, 2nd, 9th, 16th November 2011 and arrive Porbandar at 01.30 hrs o­n Fridays. Enroute, these trains will stop at Wansjalia, Bhanwad, Lalpur Jam, Jamnagar, Hapa, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Viramgam, Ahmedabad, Geratpur, Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Ankaleswar, Surat, Valsad, Vapi, Virar, Vasai Road, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Sholapur, Gulbarga, Wadi, Tandur, and Begumpet. These trains will have a total of 15 Coaches i.e. o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne, AC III Tier, seven Sleeper class, three General Second Class, o­ne Pantry Car, o­ne Second class luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.
