Now, you can enjoy TTD Brahmotsavam from a helicopter. Taken up as an initiative to give local tourism a big boost during the upcoming Tirumala Brahmotsavalu, the Chittoor district tourism department has arranged 3 helicopters for devotees and tourists who can avail a 20-minute aerial ride over the Padmavathi temple at Tiruchanur and Kalyana Venkateswara at Srinivasa Mangapuram at Tirumala.
Apart from the Tirumala Seven Hills, the historical Vijayanagara fort at Chandragiri will also be included in the package. The heli tourism services will kickstart on 16th September and the tourism department has employed 3 helicopters for now, and more choppers will be bought once the heli tourism services spread to other touristic attractions across the district.
Officials are also planning to soon introduce a Tirumala Hills package tour, covering the picturesque locations of Papavinasam, Srivari Padalu, Akasa Ganga and Japali Theertham, with the association of the State Tourism Department. This latest move is expected to bring in more revenue to the tourism department, apart from giving its tourist attractions a world class makeover.
