Vijayawada Kanakadurga Temple will be closed for Solar Eclipse, 26 December 2019 (Surya Grahanam). The Annular Solar Eclipse (Kankanakara Pakshika Surya Grahanam) will take after Sunrise time.
As the solar eclipse commences at 8.08am and concludes by 11:16am, as a tradition, the temple doors will be closed on December 25 by 11pm itself and will be opened at 4 PM on December 26.
After the suddhi and other rituals, the darshan will commence to the pilgrims only after 2pm onwards. The devotees are requested to make note of these changes and plan their pilgrimage accordingly.
