TTD Kalyanam Tickets for Newly-wed Couples – Token Gift from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam

Now, newly-wed couples can get TTD Kalyanam tickets very easily. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has introduced a token gift to newly-wed couples. From April 30, 2011, onwards current booking of Kalyanotsavam tickets will be started. “TTD had mulled this idea to provide an opportunity to newly wed couples wed in less than a week, to have the blessings of Lord Venkateswara”, said TTD executive officer, Mr. I.Y.R. Krishna Rao.

Addressing to the media, Krishna Rao said, “a quota of 20 Kalyanotsavam tickets have been allotted to newly-married and the tickets will be issued on a first come first serve basis alone. Of 100 kalyanotsavam tickets issued under current booking, 20 will henceforth be allotted to newlywed couples. If the number of couples who have booked tickets does not exceed the quota on any particular day, then the remaining tickets will be issued under general quota to other pilgrims”.

To avail this new gift from TTD, the newly-wed couple has to submit a few photos of their wedding including photos of the knot-tying ceremony (Mangalyadharana) and holy-rice pouring ceremony (Talambralu) along with their invitation card at the exclusive ticket issuing counter meant for them during the time of ticket booking.

It is to note that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has recently introduced a quota of 25 each of Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and Tiruppavadai seva tickets under current booking which will come into existence from May 4 and 5 respectively.
