Tirumala Tirupati venkateswara Temple Board (TTD) will be performing Venkateswara Kalyanam in New Delhi today. The celestial wedding of Lord Balaji with his two consorts – Laxmi and Padmavati, will be held at Sri Venkateswara College Grounds (SV College) in Dhaula Kuan, Delhi on March 21, 2010, Sunday.
The ‘Utsava Murthis’ or the processional idols of Lord Sri Balaji along with two consorts have been brought all the way to Delhi from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. This is the third time the marriage will be conducted in Delhi. The Tirumala Tirupati Devsasthanams have brought the idols here for ‘Kalyana Mahotsavam’ the symbolic wedding of Sri Venkateswara with Laxmi and Padmavati.
