Srinivasa Mangapuram Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam on 21, 22 December 2015

Srinivasa Mangapuram Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam on 21, 22 December 2015..The ancient, architectural marvel, Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple located about 15km from Tirupati is gearing up for the maiden Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam on December 21 and 22 respectively in a big way.

Reviewing the arrangements for the mega religious events in Sri Padmavathi Rest house in Tirupati on Friday, the Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar instructed the temple, engineering, vigilance, officials to make the arrangements on par with Tirumala shrine by setting up Vaikuntha Dwaram with a theme of Vaikuntha Loka-the abode of Lord Maha Vishnu recreating the spiritual magic spell.

He has instructed the Engineering, electrical and garden wings to come out the most attractive sets to give an aesthetic feel to the multitude of devotees who will be thronging the temple on these twin occasions. Meanwhile the temple will be opened for the devotees to have Vaikuntha Dwara darshanam from 3am onwards on both the days.

Matching the occasion, he has also directed the officials concerned to make equal arrangements even in the temple of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy in Apppalayagunta. “As the influx of the pilgrims is akin to Tirumala on this auspicious occasion, elaborate security arrangements should be made. Deploy enough number of security, scouts and guides as well Srivari Seva volunteers to both the temples and beef up security”, he instructed the Tirupati VGO Sri Ravinder Reddy.

Popularly known as Mini Tirumala, the Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram is equally popular to the hill shrine and has a mythological significance of being the abode visited by none other than Lord Sri Venkateswara Himself soon after His celestial wedding with Goddess Padmavathi. So the presiding deity of this temple is famous by name Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy.

Meanwhile on the other hand the abode of Lord Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy in Appalayagunta, about 22km from Tirupati is unique for the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara in Abhaya Hastha(with the hand in Blessing pose) and thus made Him popular as Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy. It is believed that the Lord blessed Sri Siddeswara and Sages in the holy place after his marriage with Goddess Sri Padmavathi. Devotees throng this temple too in thousands during festival days.

The darshan for the devotees will commence from 4:30am onwards on both the twin religious days.

With both the temple being in the top ten list among the important sub-temples of TTD, they attract devotees not only from Telugu Speaking states but also from neighbouring states of TN and Karnataka.

As the twin festivals of Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Vaikuntha Dwadasi are scheduled for December 21 and 22, apart from the major sub-shrines the JEO also instructed the officials to come out with colourful floral and electrical arrangements even in Kariya Manikya Swamy temple at Nagari, Narayanavanam, Nagulapuram and also in Peethapuram, Upamaka, Anantavaram, Vontimitta, Devunikadapa temples.
