Sheegra Darshan (Laghu Darshan) tickets will be allotted to all devotees for just Rs 100 on Vaikunta Ekadasi and Vaikunta Dwadasi (January 5 & 6 in 2012) in Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara swamy Temple. TTD has decided to cancel all VIP darshan on New Year’s Day (January 1). Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams also decided to provide assured darshan to 30,000 devotees each on Vaikunta Ekadasi and Dwadasi, by giving Sheegra Darshan tickets which cost Rs 300 for Rs 100 online from December 21.
The devotees, who purchase tickets online and at e-Darshan counters, have to collect the real tickets by showing the online tickets at the hill shrine. TTD has also decided to allow 2,000 aged and physically challenged persons through Mahadwaram on both days.
