Sabarimala Special Trains 2011–2012, Sabarimala Trains from Chennai to Kollam for Mandala Puja, Makaravilakku 2012

Southern Railway will run Sabarimala special trains to clear the rush of Sabarimala pilgrims in November 2011, December 2011 & Janaury 2012, from Chennai to Kollam during Mandala Puja and Makaravilakku 2011.

Advance booking reservations will be started shortly for these special trains for Sabarimala from Tamil Nadu in 2011 and 2012 season.

Here are the full details of timing and train numbers of Sabarimala special trains:

1. 06001 Chennai Central – Kollam Superfast Bi-weekly Special and 06002 Kollam – Chennai Central Bi-weekly Special (via. Kottayam) : T.No.06001 Chennai Central – Kollam Bi-weekly Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 15.15 hrs. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 22.11.2011 to 19.1.2012 and arrive Kollam at 05.35 hrs. the next day.T.No.06002 Kollam – Chennai Central Bi-weekly Special will leave Kollam at 11.30 hrs. on Wednesdays & Fridays from 23.11.2011 to 20.1.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 03.40 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 14 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam. T.No.06002 will stop at Perambur also.
2. 06003 Chennai Central – Kollam Superfast Weekly Special and 06004 Kollam – Chennai Central Weekly Special (via. Kottayam) : T.No.06003 Chennai Central – Kollam weekly Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 20.45 hrs. on Saturdays from 19.11.2011 to 21.1.2012 and arrive Kollam at 11.30 hrs. the next day.T.No.06004 Kollam – Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Kollam at 17.50 hrs. on Sundays from 20.11.2011 to 22.1.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 10.45 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 14 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam. T.No.06006 Kollam – Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Kollam at 17.50 hrs. on Tuesdays from 22.11.2011 to 17.1.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 10.45 hrs. the next day. 4. 06617/06618 Coimbatore – Nagercoil – Coimbatore Weekly Specials (via. Kottayam): T.No.06617 Coimbatore – Nagercoil Weekly Special will leave Coimbatore at 22.30 hrs. on Tuesdays from 22.11.2011 to 17.1.2012 and arrive Nagercoil at 10.00 hrs. the next day.T.No.06618 Nagercoil – Coimbatore Weekly Special will leave Nagercoil at 20.15 hrs. on Wednesdays from 23.11.2011 to 18.1.2012 and arrive Coimbatore at 08.00 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 13 Sleeper Class, 2 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Podanur, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Kayankulam, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, Neyyattinkara, Kulitturai and Eraniel.
5. 06301/06302 Nagercoil – Mangalore Jn. – Nagercoil Weekly Specials (via. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Shoranur and Kannur): T.No.06301 Nagercoil – Mangalore Jn. 6. Train no. 06009, Chennai Central-Kollam Weekly Specialwould leave Chennai Central at 11.30 p m on Wednesdays from 23.11.2011 to 18.1.2012 and arrive at Kollam at 3.30 p m the next day. Train no.06010 Kollam-Chennai Central Weekly Superfast Special would leave Kollam at 9.10 p m on Thursdays from 24.11.2011 to 19.1.2012 and arrive at Chennai Central at 12.40 p m the next day.Composition: 3 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class, 2 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. Train no. 06012 Kollam – Chennai Central Weekly Special would leave Kollam at 11.30 a m on Saturdays from 26.11.2011 to 21.1.2012 and arrive at Chennai Central at 3.40 a m the next day.Composition: 2 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper Class, 7 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-brake van coaches.    Regular service of the Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Weekly Express train would begin on November 26 from Dibrugarh and Kanyakumari. Advance reservation for the above trains began from 23 November 2011.

   Train no. 15906 Dibrugarh – Kanyakumari Vivek Express (Weekly) would leave Dibrugarh at 11.45 p m on Saturdays and arrive at Kanniyakumari at 10.25 a m on Wednesdays.T No 15905 Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek Express (Weekly) would leave Kanyakumari at 2 p m on Saturdays and arrive at Dibrugarh at 03.30 a m on Wednesdays.

   Composition: 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class, 2 Luggage-cum-brake van and 1 Pantry Car coaches.
