Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati 2012 First look
Replica of Lalbaughcha Raja in Cuttak Binapani club Ganesh Mandal for Ganesh Puja 2013.
Cuttack’s Binapani club, a puja mandap at Chauliaganj, has decided to install the replica of Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati, the popular Sarvajanik Ganpati Mandal of Mumbai for Ganesh Chaturthi 2013.
The 35-feet Ganesh idol would be the tallest Ganpati idol in Cuttack city for this year’s Ganesh Puja celebrations. The artisans of Kumbhar Sahi have been working on this idol which would cost about 3 lakh rupees. The Mandal has decided to spend more 3 lakhs for decoration of Ganesh Mandal.
According to a member of the Mandal, ‘For the last 20 years, we have been celebrating Ganesh puja in a lavish manner by preparing different varieties of idols. Lalbaug’s Ganesh is famous worldwide hence we decided to prepare a replica of the idol so that people, who cannot go to Mumbai, can have the opportunity of seeing it here.’
