Ravi Pushya Nakshatra, also known as Ravi Pushya Yog or Ravi Pushyamrit Yoga is an auspicious period of Pushya Nakshatra which falls on Ravivar or Sunday. In 2019, Ravipushya Nakshatra comes four times: once each in March, April, November and December.
Many people prefer Ravi Pushya Yoga to do shopping for upcoming marriages, events and festivals since this time is good to buy all kinds of new items. As astrology says, along with new items, Goddess Lakshmi comes and resides within the home for long time.
When Pushya Nakshatra coincides with a Thursday (Guruvar) or a Sunday (Ravivar) – Gurupushyamtrut Yog and Ravipushyamrut Yog are formed respectively. These Yogas are as sacred tithis as Akshay Tritiya, Chaitra Pratipada, Dhan Teras, Diwali etc..
