Pratyangira Temple Brahmotsavam 2015 (Hyderabad Pratyangira Devi Temple)

Pratyangira Brahmotsavam is the annual festive celebrations dedicated to Goddess Pratyangira Devi. It is the main festival celebrated at Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi Temple, R K Puram, near Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad. The festival is celebrated in Magha masa Krishna paksham as per Telugu calendar. In 2015, Pratyangira Brahmotsavam begins on 9 February and ends on 13 February.

On first day of celebrations, 18 types of fruits, 18 suktis, 18 types of naivedyas, and ashtadasha sukta sahita abhishekam were offered to the deity. Kumkumarchana, pushparchana, parayana, and abhishekam are performed to Goddess Pratyangira during Brahmotsavam.

Pratyangira Brahmotsavam is performed under the management of Sri Siddeshwara Peetadhipathi Siddeshwarananda Bharati Swamy.

Brahmotsavams begins on Monday morning with Ashtadasha Vishishta Padartha Abhishekams. Vishesha Homams, Kumkumarchana, Parayana, Pushparchana, Bilvarchana and other visesha poojas are performed.

In the evening, Sri Sri Sri Siddheshwarananda Bharathi Mahaswami’s Anugraha Bhashanam is held.
