Panchakshari Japam in Tirumala Tirupati — The hill town of Tirumala reverberated with the divine chanting of “Vishnave Namaha” Panchakshari Japam on 11 May 2014, the 11-day spiritual programme commenced by Sri Madananda Peetham of Medak in Asthana Mandapam.

TTD EO Sri M G Gopal who took part in the inaugural session and termed the programme as extraordinary since the Peetham under the aegis of its pontiff HH Sri Sri Sri Madhavananda Saraswathi Swamy has so far completed the chanting of Vishnave Namaha for 2000 crore times. “This is infact a matchless spiritual mission undertaken by H.H.Sri Madhavananda Saraswathi Swamy not only in our country but across the world. Being the custodian of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, TTD will always extend its support to such spiritual programmes which is the need of our in this mechanical society today”, EO added.

In his spiritual discourse, Sri Madhavananda Swamy said, the peetham with an aim to bestow peace and prosperity of humanity across the universe, has started this spiritual programme of “Koti Parayanala Vishnu Sahasranama Japam” in the year 2012 and performed in all the pilgrim cities of India. “Today we have commenced this holy programme in the abode of Lord Venkateswara and will conclude at His lotus feet on May 21″, he added.

Hundreds of devotees took part in this programme and rendered uninterrupted “Vishnave Namaha” Japam.
