Pad Krichcha Vrata

Pad Krichcha Vrata is an auspicious austerity which lasts for four days. The four days’ vrata niyamas are briefed here..

On the first day a devotee should observe ‘Ekabhakta vrata’. The performer should take food only once a day.

Second day is Nakta Vrata. The performer takes the food once a day in the night.

On third day, the performer breaks the fast by having food which is prepared himself. There is a strict rule that the food provided by others should be avoided on this day.

The performer should observe total fasting on the fourth day of the vrata.

When any devotee observes the above said cycles for three times, then it is called ‘Prajapatya Krichcha Vrata’.
