Making of Khairatabad Ganesh 2017 | 57-Feet Mammoth Ganapathi Vigraham

The construction (Murti making) of Khairatabad Ganesh has been ongoing since 3 months. For Ganesh Chaturthi (25 August 2017), the Ganapathi idol will be readied for Prathama Pooja.

Khairatabad Ganesh Utsava Samithi (Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee), Hyderabad’s mamoth Ganesh Mandal, has released the model picture of 57-foot giant Ganapathi Vigraham for Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations on 17 June 2017.

“Sri Chandi Kumara Anantha Maha Ganapathi” is the basic theme name for this Ganpati. As per the picture released, it will have ‘Maha Kala Sadashivudu’ at its left side and the scene of ‘Mahishasura Mardhini’ at its right side.

The idol will have 12-headed snake in the background. The portrayals of Goddess Chandi and Lord Subrahmanya Swamy (Kumara swamy) are also play their part in this large Ganesha.

Khairatabad Ganesha (the Mammoth Ganapathi idol) known as the biggest and one of the most popular Ganesha Utsav mandals in not only Hyderabad but also in entire India, has got their first puja to Ganesha on 22 May 2017.

In 2017, Ganesh Navaratri begins on August with Ganesh Chaturhti Puja. According to the organizers, this year the Ganapathi vigraham will be of 57 feet height.

This year (2017) is the 63rd Year of Ganapathi Navaratri celebrations for Khairatabad Ganesh Utsava Samithi.
