Hanumath Jayanthi is a major festival celebrated at Skandagiri Hanuman Temple of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham at Padmaraonagar, Hyderabad (Secunderabad). As per the Tamil calendar, Hanumath Jayanthi is celebrated in Margazhi Masam.
Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham’s Hanuman Temple at Skandagiri Subramanya Swamy Temple, located at Walker Town, Padmaraonagar, Musheerabad, celebrates the festival for 11 days, from 1 January to 11 January 2013.
It is to note that Hanumath Jayanti 2013 date is January 11 as per the Tamil calendar. As the temple follows Tamil traditional calendar, it celebrates the festival in Margazhi masam which comes in January every year.
During this 11-day festival celebrations, Lord Hanuman is decorated with different alankarams on each day. The special rituals come to an end on Hanuman Jayanti day i.e. 11 January 2013.
