To clear the extra rush of passengers during Durga Puja and Dussehra 2010 festivals, Indian Railways decided to run special trains in various routes through Allahabad. Four special trains will stop at Allahabad station including Howrah- Delhi Superfast Special, Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Terminus, Howrah-Allahabad, Allahabad-Lokmanya Tilak terminus. Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak terminus special train will be continued till October 31 2010.

- Train number 0331/0332 Howrah-Delhi would be a bi-weekly train and would pass through the route of Howrah, Durgapur, Asansol, Dhanbad, Kodarma, Gaya, Sasaram, Mughalsarai, Mirzapur, Allahabad, Kanpur and Delhi. The train would leave Howrah every Wednesday and Sunday at about 1:25 pm and after passing through the above route would terminate at Delhi on next day at 11:55 am. The train would leave Delhi every Thursday and Monday at about 7:10 pm and after passing through the above route would terminate at Howrah next day at about 5:00 pm. The train would ply from October 3 to November 21.
- Train number 0349/0350 Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Terminal would be a weekly train which would be plied from October 1 to November 19. The train would leave Bhagalpur at about 5:30 pm every Friday and pass through the route of Jamalpur, Keol, Mokama, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Mughalsarai, Allahabad, Kanpur and finally terminate at Anand Vihar terminal next day at about 12:45 pm. The train would leave Anand Vihar Terminal every Saturday at about 11:55 pm and after passing through the above route would terminate at Bhagalpur next day at about 8:00 pm.
- Train number 0333/0334 Howrah-Delhi Superfast Special would be a weekly train and would be plied from October 12 to November 9. This train would leave Howrah every Tuesday at about 8:20 am and pass through the route of Durgapur, ,Asansol, Dhanbad, Kodarma, Gaya, Sasaram, Mughalsarai,Mirzapur and reach Allahabad at 9:00 pm. During the return journey, the train would leave Allahabad every Wednesday at about 5:50 am and after passing through the above route would terminate at Howrah at 6:00 pm.
- Train number 0482/0482 would be plied between Allahabad and Lokmanya Tilak terminus from October 2 to November 30. The train would leave Allahabad every Tuesday and Saturday at about 8:30 am and pass through the route of Fatehpur, Kanpur, Pokhraya, Urai, Jhansi, Lalitpur,Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusawal, Manmad, Kalyan and finally terminate at LTT next day at about 11:55 am. During the return journey, the train would leave LTT every Wednesday and Sunday at about 1:45 pm and after passing through the above route would terminate at Allahabad next day at 5:00 pm.
- Train number 0511/0512 is presently being plied between Gorakhpur and LTT and would continue till October 31. This train leaves Gorakhpur every Sunday at about 9:30 pm and pass through the route of Basti, Gonda,Lucknow, Kanpur, Pokhraya, Urai, Jhansi, Lalitpur,Bina, Bhopal, itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusawal, Manmad, Kalyan and finally terminate at LTT next day at about 4:00 am. During the return journey, the train would leave LTT every Tuesday at about 11;10 am and after passing through the above route would terminate at Gorakhpur at about 5:45 pm.
