Attukal Pongala is festival dedicated to Attukal Devi and celebrated at Attukal Devi or Attukal Bhagavathi Temple, Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum, Kerala.
The world famous Attukal Pongala is on 9th March 2020.
‘Pongala Utsavam’ of Attukal Pongala begins in the 3rd week of February and lasts for 10 days, ending on March 9. It is one of the largest religious congregations of women in India. It is observed during Kumbha Masam (February – March) in Malayalam calendar.
Attukal Pongala 2009 was registered in Guinness Book as the largest gathering of women in the world which attracted approximately 27 lakh devotees. Attukal Pongala 2013 is ready to set the new record with a congregation of over 35 lakh women devotees at one place.
Attukal Pongala is a festival during which women devotees offer Pongala or the boiled rice to the presiding deity, Goddess Parvati or Attukalamma, in the Attukal Devi Temple. Women cook Pongala in the temple premises and offer to the Goddess with utmost fervor.

Attukal Pongala in Previous Years
In 2016, Attukal Pongala date was 22 February.
Attukal Pongala 2015 Festival begins on 25th February 2015 and concludes on 6 March 2015. The world famous Attukal Pongala is on 05th March 2015, Thursday.
Attukal Pongala 2014 date was February 16.
Attukal Pongal 2013 date was February 26. Attukal Pongala 2012 date is March 7, 2012.
Attukal ponkala is the biggest festival in attukal bhagavthi temple in trivandrum. not only the people of thiruvananthapuram but also from karnataka and tamil nadu devoptees participate in the celebrations of attukal pongala.
