Arattu Festival or Arattu Ulsavam is the annual festival of Guruvayur Guruvayurappan Temple celebrated in Kumbham month. Prior to Guruvayur temple annual festival, Brahmakalasa Abhishekam was performed on Tuesday, 15 February 2011. Annual Arattu festival 2011 begins on February 16th and the main Arattu festival date is 25 February 2011. Guruvayur Sri Krishna Swamy Temple is the most famous Sri Krishna temple located in Thrissur district, Kerala.
Arattu festival starts with Anayilla Siveli ritual on Wednesday morning (16 February 2011). Anayottam will be at 3 pm. The thanthri of Guruvayur temple will hoist the festival flag on 16th February.
