111-feet Ganesh idol in Vizag (Gajuwaka) is the tallest Ganapathi idol for Ganesh Chaturthi 2015. Vinayaka Chavithi Navaratri celebrations have begun on September 17 and will end with Anantha Chaturdashi Vinayaka Nimajjanam on September 27.
About 100 artisans had worked for this Ganesha Mandapam. This is the tallest Ganesha idol ever in the world for Ganesh Chaturthi.
The 111-feet idol, on VUDA Double Road of Old Gajuwaka, shows Ganesha in the Vishnu pose carrying the Shanku, Chakra and Gadha.
‘Mahaganapati Yuvajana Seva Sangam’ is organizing this Ganesha Mandapam. According to the organizers, the clay was brought from Krishna and Godavari rivers for the idol.
