Yamunotri Temple closing date in 2012

The portals of the Yamunotri Temple would remain closed for pilgrims from Bhaiya Duj, November 16 in 2012. Yamunotri temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, one of the most auspicious pilgrimages for Hindus, will be closed on Bhaiya Dhuj after certain Vedic rituals.

Yamunotri temple is situated at a height of over 10,000 feet in Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state. The temple will be opened on Akshay Tritiya day and closed on Bhaiya Duj day. The temple would be reopened on Akshay Tritiya 2013.

Yamunotri temple is a part of Char Dham Yatra. Chardham Yatra includes pilgrimage to Badrinath templeKedarnath templeGangotri temple and Yamunotri temple. Char Dham Yatra (the four pilgrimages) remain closed during winter season and opened in rest of the year.

    could you please tell me the opening date of yamunotri temple in 2010. I think the temple will be opened on akshay tritiya. is it correct.
