Margashirsh Month 2010-2011 – Margasheersha Maas dates in 2010-2011

Margashirsh month, also spelt as Margasheersh maas, Margashira masa or Margasira masam or Margasirsh mahina, is the ninth month as per traditional Hindu calendar. Margashirsh month 2010-2011 starts on 22 November, 2010, and ends on 20 December, 2010, according to North Indian traditional Hindi calendar. In other calendars like Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu and Kannada panchanga, Margashir month starts on 6 December, 2010, and ends on 4th January 2011.

During Margashira month Mrigasira nakshatra or Mrugashira star falls near Purnima day. Due to that this month is named as Margashirsh. This month is an auspicious month to perform Shiva puja, Vishnu puja, Dattatreya puja and Hanuman Puja.
