Budhwa Mangal or Bada Mangal, an auspicious Tuesday dedicated to Lord Hanuman, is observed twice in a Hindu year in North India. Budhwa Mangal 2012 date is March 13 in Chaitra month. The first Budhwa Mangal is observed in Chaitra month and the next one in Bhadrapad month. The last Tuesday in Bhadrapad month and the immediate Tuesday after Holi in Chaitra month is observed as Budhwa Mangal. September 25, 2012 is the second Budhwa Mangal in this year.
Sri Panki Hanuman at Kanpur and Varanasi Kashi Vishwanath temple are the most visited temples during Budhwa Mangal. In 2012, Budhwa Mangal celebrations will start on 9 March at 6.30 pm in Dasaswamedh Ghat in Varanasi. The celebrations will continue till Budhwa Mangal day for 7 days.
