Vinayaka Chaturthi in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala… The Vinayaka Chaturthi festival at Sree Mangala Vinayagar Temple in Neeramankara will be celebrated from August 26 to 29.

There will be Ekadasa Rudra Pooja on August 27, Ganesha Sahasranama Archana on August 28 and Maha Ganapathy Homam, Dhara, Panchakom, Navakom and Kalabhabhishekom on August 29 morning. Grama pradakshinam will be held on the Chaturthi day on August 29.

Mysore Karthik and Sumanth will perform a violin duet on August 26.

There will be a music concert by Sriranjini Santhana Gopalan on August 27 and a classical dance performance by Amruthavarshini Nritha Vidyalaya on August 28 evening.

‘Ganeshotsav’ at Kottarakkara

The Kottarakkara Sree Maha Ganapathy Temple will celebrate Ganesha Chathurthi as ‘Ganeshotsav’ on Friday.

As part of this, the temple committee will conduct ‘gaja pooja’, ‘aanayoottu’, ‘mathru sammelanam’, ‘annadanam’, cultural meet and a violin concert on the day.

“The celebrations will be organised jointly by the Temple Advisory Committee and Kshethra Samrakshana Samithi.

From 1994 onwards, we are celebrating Ganesha Chathurthi as Ganeshotsav,” R Divakaran, president, Temple Advisory Committee, said.

‘Gaja pooja’ and ‘aanayoottu’ which will be conducted at 8.30 am will be inaugurated by M Nandakumar, director of Collegiate Education.
