Vasanthotsava, the spring festival, is one of the colourful temple festivals celebrated in Kateel Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple in Karnataka state. This month-long festival begins on Vaishakha Shuddha Pratipada, first day of Vaishakha Masa. In 2012, Vasantotsava starts on April 22 and ends on May 20.
Vasanthotsava is an autumn celebration during which devotees offer various types of crops, fruits, and flowers to Goddess Durga Parameswari.
Vasanta Navaratri and Ashwayuja Sharad Navaratri are other major festivals celebrated in Sri Kshetra Sri Kateel Durga Parameswari Temple.
