Vaishakh Mahina 2012 begins in North Indian Hindi Calendar

Vaishakh Mahina or Vaishakh month is the second month in North Indian Hindi calendars. In 2012, Vaishakh Mahina begins on April 7 and ends on May 6. Chaitra month ends with Chaitra Purnima. Vaishakh snan begins on 6 April and ends on May 6. But, tithi at the sunrise is considered as the tithi of the day. Hence, astrologically Vaishakh mahina ends on May 5.

Akshaya Tritiya, Shankaracharya Jayanti, Ganga Saptami Pujan, Narmada Pushkarams, and Nrusimha Jayanti are the important festivals in Vaishakh month.

Among the three auspicious months, Vaishakh Mahina is the supreme month. It is the favorite month for Lord Vishnu. Vaishakh snan wipes out all the sins and doshas and make the devotee free from hassles in life.
