Central Railway has decided to run 54 special trains for Ganesh festival 2011 between Mumbai and Madgaon to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati chaturthi festivals. Booking of tickets for these special trains has been started already.
Central Railway will run 01013/01014 Mumbai-Madgaon-Mumbai (Reserved) and 01403/01404 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)-Madgaon-LTT (Unreserved) special trains during the ensuing Ganesh Festival to clear the extra rush of passengers.
Reserved Special Trains: 01013 Special will leave CST Mumbai at 0020 hrs daily from August 25 to September 12 (19 trips) and will reach Madgaon at 1410 hrs the same day.
01014 Special will leave Madgaon at 1440 hrs daily from August 25 to September 12 (19 trips) and will arrive CST Mumbai at 0515 hrs the next day.
It will have halts at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adawali, Vilawade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Pernem, Thivim and Karmali.
Unreserved Special trains between LTT-Madgaon: 01403 Special will leave LTT at 0050 hrs from August 29 to September 12 (8 trips) on the given days and will reach Madgaon at 1530 hrs the same day. Dates of service-August 29 and 31, September 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12.
01404 Special will leave Madgaon at 1600 hrs from August 29 to September 12 (8 trips) on the given days and will arrive LTT at 0745 hrs the next day. Dates of service-August 29 and 31 and September 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12, he added.
