  2. can i start sawan vrat from 16 July as i did not know dat vrts was starts from 9 July…and what is the diffrnce between 4 vrats and 16 vrats of lord shiva…these are only for girls or boys also can do this..??

  3. yes sanjana ji, ur absolutely rite. . In shastras, it is strictly saida that females (of any age) should not touch the shiv linga. . They should worship the linga without touching. . Ladies can offer milk, water, dhatura, bel patra, honey, sugar, flower bt should not touch it. .

  4. hi…actually i would like to ask some thing abt shiv ling…some body suggest me that a girl should not touch the shiv ling…otherwise Goddess become angry…coz lord shiva is the husband of goddess…thats y she dosent like if some one touches (girls) her husband(shiv ling)…i am nw confused dat wat to do now…as if above is truth or not plz clear my confusions… cordially thnx to all devotees.

  5. Nope, no vrat or puja should be done during Menstrual cycle.. That four days are avoided for any type of vrat..

  6. Hi I am doing 4 somvar vrat for sravan. Can you please advise me on which day to do the final puja. The fifth monday is in the next month. Should I do it on the fouth monday?

  7. Yes.. of course.. The main reason about fasting on vrat, puja, and festivals is to ….. remember God each moment.. If we fed ourselves with lots of food… we will not have any time to remember God.. To chant and pray the Lord, we need to observe fast… Until its matter of your capacity, you can do fasting… :)
