Sevas, Pujas at Bhadrakali Temple, Warangal

Sevas & Pujas at Bhadrakali Temple, Hanamkonda in Warangal. Bhadrakali temple is constructed in 625 AD by the West Chalukya King Pulakesi-II as the commemoration of his victory over Vengi Chalukyas.

After Chalukyas, Kakatiya kings adopted the temple and the Goddess as their Kuldevi (deity of dynasty). She is also worshipped as ‘Kakathamma’.

The sacred tank near the Bhadrakali temple is known as ‘Bhadrakali Cheruvu’ (cheruvu means tank in Telugu). Vidyaranya Swami, famous Hindu Saint, is also worshipped Bhadrakali ammavaru.
