Mahant Gyandas Maharaj, the president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhanda Parishad, has demanded the government to appoint separate officer and cell for Nashik Kumbh Mela 2015-16. He and other Sadhu mahants also demanded that considering the growth in population, 300 acre of land should be reserved for Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
Nashik Kumbh Mela 2015-26 will be held in August and September months in 2015. It is also known as Ardha Maha Kumbh Mela.
